A military man for 8 years, straight out of high school, before embarking upon a successful banking career & being bit by the fashion bug – he was always a dandy in the making! BJ would eventually quit his branch manger job in Washington DC to purchase a one way ticket to the fashion capital of the world -Paris!

Paris-trained, L.A. born and bred celebrity-designer Brandon “BJ” Gray blazed onto the Hollywood scene in 2017 with his male-focused label Grayscale. Brandon’s exactingly tailored, visually stunning suiting and separates quickly became the go-to choice of a devoted cadre of L.A.’s hot, hip and handsome. From style-obsessed, image-conscious actors, athletes and artists to flamboyant and fly Hollywood fashion aficionados, Grayscale clients were soon lighting up red carpets, elite social events and photo shoots throughout L.A. and beyond. Inevitably, the special requests from women started rolling in.

In 2023, the company rebranded as GRAY set to work on a womenswear collection based on the same transcendent design aesthetics – pinpoint tailoring, exuberant colors and inspired prints — that make GRAY a must-have haberdashery for Hollywood’s next gen fashion makers and rule breakers.
